Who is behind Units-Master and why we are rethinking real estate software.
Software and real estate – our DNA
In 2020, we reached a turning point. After years of successful software development as a service provider, we decided to combine our passion for code with our affinity for real estate. The move from pure service provider to SaaS (Software as a Service) provider was a done deal.
We began to analyze the property management software market in depth. The alarming result: the existing solutions on the market were often rigid, outdated, and simply did not cover the real, dynamic basic needs of modern property management. That was the birth of the vision for Units-Master.
The brains behind the technology: Serž Jordačijević (CTO)
Great software isn't created on the drawing board, but through decades of experience with business-critical systems. Our CTO, Serž Jordačijević, combines the best of both worlds: corporate precision and entrepreneurial drive.
After completing his degree in computer science and spending nearly 11 years in software development at Siemens AG Austria, he embarked on a path to self-employment in 2012. For over 13 years now, he has successfully led bitawaker GmbH as a specialized software powerhouse.
During this time, he and his team have implemented complex, highly secure architectures for small businesses as well as for industry giants such as Kapsch Business-Com, Allianz Insurance, and Erste Bank & Sparkasse. This concentrated enterprise knowledge of stability, data security, and scalability, drawn from over two decades of IT excellence, forms the unshakable technical foundation of Units-Master today.

Out of the office, into practice
We knew that in order to build the best software for property managers, we had to think like property managers. You can't automate the administrative madness from behind a desk.
That's why Serž Jordačijević switched sides in early 2025 and studied at WiFi in Vienna. By successfully completing the courses to become a property management assistant (basic and advanced modules), we ensured that we not only write code, but also understand the legal, commercial, and human challenges of your everyday life in detail.

The path to the finished solution: Practice meets process experts
With this deep understanding of the industry under our belts, we didn't just start programming. In numerous intensive workshops with management consultants specializing in property management, we dissected, analyzed, and optimized the real business processes of the industry.
The result of this work is our 52 tried-and-tested Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). They were not developed in an IT lab, but based on real market needs, sound specialist knowledge, and years of expertise.
